Ah, a little slice of Parisian heaven… In the microwave? Yes, in the microwave – and the taste of this simple dish is piquant and quite savory – your dinner guests will never know!
5 Simple Ingredients
-4 cups water
-1 can cream of mushroom soup
-4 ounces spaghetti
1/2 cup French fried onions
-1 package frozen broccoli (chopped)
2 Simple Steps
1. Cook pasta: Pour water into a microwave-safe dish. Heat until it bubbles, add broken pasta. Microwave until tender. Drain.
2. Add the rest: Cook broccoli in microwave and add to pasta, keeping all of the liquid. Stir in fried onions and mushroom soup and stir well. Microwave for 10-15 minutes and sprinkle some more fried onions on top.
Much like the other recipes in this series, this is the simple and most minimalist version of the recipe. You can add cheese or other spices and herbs, and garlic is always a great addition. Consider substituting other “cream of” soups like cream of broccoli or cream of chicken as well!
